CellStream Isolation Technology
HEP50 Pooled Human Hepatocytes are produced using our novel proprietary CellStream Isolation Technology. This process eliminates the disadvantages of density gradient fractionation prior to cryopreservation of the pool. Instead, we gently isolate and purify the pre-screened, high-viability, and metabolically-active hepatocytes from other cells and debris. The result is a remarkably pure pooled hepatocyte preparation with high viability for use in drug metabolism studies and other biological assays.

Each vial of HEP50 Pooled Human Hepatocytes contains hepatocytes from 50 individual donors: 25 female and 25 male.
Each pool is characterized for CYP1A2, CYP2B6, CYP2C8, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP2D6, CYP2E1, CYP3A4, CYP3A4/5, and FMO activity, as well as NTCP, OATP1B3, and OATP transporter pathways.
